The label on your medicine holds everything you need to take it safely. It only takes a minute to read — and it is worth doing every time, even for a medicine you have taken before.
What to look for
- Your name — make sure the medicine is for you.
- The medicine and strength — for example 500 mg.
- How much and how often — such as “one tablet twice a day”.
- Special instructions — with food, avoid alcohol, finish the course.
- Expiry date — never use medicine after this date.
